In ’68 wanderte er aus nach Amerika, kam nach Syracuse wo er noch jetzt als Uhrmacher und Juwelier ein erfolgreiches Geschäft in No. 404 S. Salinastrasse betreibt. Als tüchtig in seinem Beruf und zuvorkommend in seinen Geschäftsbeziehungen ist er in den weitesten Kreisen bekannt. Er ist mit Fräulein Catherine D. Kilian Krause, the well-known and popular clock-maker and jeweler, first saw the light of this world on the 8th of July 1844 in Baden. After he had gone through the local municipal and vocational schools, he learned clockmaking in the Grand Duchy of Baden Clockmaking School in Furtwangen. In 1868 he emigrated to America and came to Syracuse, where he is today a successful watchmaker and jeweler with his business located at 404 South Salina Street. Efficient in his occupation, and obliging in his business relations, he is well-known in the furthest circles. He married Miss Catherine D. Doll, has one child, and lives at 410 Burt Street.
